The region stretches from Tenterfield in the NSW north-east to Broken Hill in the far west and Oberon in the central west.

Country NSW is home to small, friendly towns making it a safe and enjoyable place to live.

The two major study destinations in country NSW are the fast-growing inland cities of Bathurst (3 hours drive from Sydney) and Armidale (5.5 hours drive from Sydney or 75-minute flight).   

The region’s clean, green, open spaces are home to key industries including health care, manufacturing, education, agriculture, forestry and fishing.
